This policy explains how Gorillacoms uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them.
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. They let the site remember things about your visit, and they can help us see how the site is used. Some sites also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, which work in much the same way.
We keep things simple. We only use analytics cookies from Google Analytics, and only if you choose to allow them. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your information.
| Name | Provider | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another so we can count visits. | 2 years |
_ga_1F4MFK955G | Google Analytics | Remembers where you are in a visit, so pages viewed together are counted as one visit. | 2 years |
cp-cookie-consent | Gorillacoms | Remembers whether you allowed cookies, so we don't ask on every page. Saved in your browser's local storage, not as a cookie. | Until you clear your browser data |
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set after you choose Accept in our cookie banner. Before you choose, Google Analytics only sends Google a basic, cookie-free signal (such as the page visited, the time and your type of browser). It doesn't store anything on your device or identify you, and Google uses it only to estimate overall visitor numbers.
Google Analytics helps us understand which parts of our site are useful, so we can keep improving it. It tells us things like:
We see this information as totals and trends. It doesn't tell us who you are. Google processes it under its own privacy policy. You can also stop Google Analytics on every website with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
You can change your mind at any time. Open Cookie settings (there's also a link at the bottom of every page) and choose again. If you decline after previously accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Most browsers also let you see, delete and block cookies. Look in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking all cookies may stop some websites from working properly.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and some of the code that runs the page (including the 3D gorilla) from the jsDelivr and cdnjs networks. To deliver these files, their servers receive your device's IP address, as with any web request. None of them set cookies.
If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
If you have any questions about cookies on our site, call us on 020 3994 5090, email [email protected] or use our contact form.
